State Central Committee Meeting

The next meeting of the State Central Committee of the California Peace and Freedom Party is scheduled for April 10 and 11 of 2010 in Sacramento, CA.

Meeting Registration will be available online and by mail. Online registration is available now by clicking on Meeting Registration in the menu to the left. A mail-in registration form will be included in the information packet that will be mailed to all Central Committee members. The deadline for registering online is April 7. Mail-in registration must be postmarked by April 2. You may also register at the door on the day of the meeting.

Meeting location for upcoming SCC Meeting in Sacramento (same place that we used for the 2008 presidential convention):

Hawthorn Suites
321 Bercut Dr.
Sacramento 95811
916-441-1200

This is just off I-5, about 2 miles north of downtown Sacramento. From I-5, go east on Richards Blvd, left on Bercut Drive.
For those who fly in, it is about 4 miles south of the airport. Some of the motels provide airport shuttles.
Free parking.

Lodging - all have free parking; some have airport shuttles.

1. Hawthorn Suites (the location of our meeting). 321 Bercut Dr., Sacramento, 95811. Buffet breakfast is included for all registered guests. Registered guests get free airport shuttle too; just call 916-441-1200 from the airport to request the shuttle.

To get our negotiated rates, call 916-442-1400 and ask for the Peace and Freedom Party rate. If you try to reserve using the web site, you will probably not be able to get the same pricing. Reservations at these rates must be made by April 5.

Options (the prices do not include tax):
  • Queen room (1 bed) is $49 per night per room. Rollaways are available on request.
  • Double queen room (I assume this means two queen beds) $60 per night per room
  • 2-bedroom suite is $80 per night per suite. It has 2 beds, one in each bedroom, and a living room area.
2. Other nearby lodging includes the following:
  1. Ramada Inn (across the street) - 350 Bercut Dr.
  2. Governor's Inn (down the street) - 210 Richards Blvd.
  3. La Quinta (other side of the freeway, but less than a mile away) - 200 Jibboom Street
  4. Comfort Inn (ditto) - 226 Jibboom St.
  5. Motel 6 (ditto) - 227 Jibboom St.
  6. Best Western (ditto) - 236 Jibboom St.
  7. Maybe also a Days Inn on that street
  8. There is a Super8 on Bannon Street, also nearby; please be careful if you choose this one.
