The Sacramento County Peace and Freedom Party will be marching in the 34th annual Martin Luther King Day march on Friday, January 15. Local PFPers have been participating - rain or shine - for many, many years. King’s message of racial and social justice, along with his call to end wars, is reflected in the Peace & Freedom Party platform and we are happy to honor his legacy by making the five-mile march every year.

When: Saturday, January 16 at 11:30am
Where: Crocker Park, 3rd and N St, Sacramento (MAP)
What: Poor People's March and Rally
Contact: call 916-698-8131

On Saturday, January 16 the Sacramento County Peace & Freedom Party will participate in this year’s Poor People’s March and Rally. This event celebrates the struggle against racial and socioeconomic inequality that both Martin Luther King and Malcolm X led. The event beginswith a short march to the state capitol and a noon program. Please join us in the campaign.

The Sacramento County Peace and Freedom Party has endorsed both events.
